Cocktails for a Cause
530pm – 8pm ish
Saturday 9th February 2019
Two of our favourite regulars and drinks enthusiasts,
Ben Reed: Head bartender at the legendary Met bar in the 90s,
cocktail author and columnist –
Patricia Dickie: Director of ALL the Fun at Goodwood –
Invite you to join them for an evening of cocktail consumption at
‘Cocktails for a Cause’ will raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
This year Ben will be turning his back on a 30 yr career of debauchery to undertake a handful of half and full marathons to champion this amazing charity following the death of his father to breast cancer last year.
If you can’t make it on the night feel free to donate here:
There’ll be something for everyone, whatever your liquid preferences..
Expect grown up cocktails; Martini’s, and Old Fashioneds,
fruitier concoctions; Bramble Royales and Hibiscus Margaritas
even one of Ben’s own creations
“Tell your Mum to buy a hat’ – the cocktail Ben created to propose to his wife
(and ensure she was oiled enough to say yes!.)
All made for you on the night by Ben’s fair hand!
This will be a cash bar only so please do bring lots.
For those of you rushing back (in taxis hopefully) to relieve the babysitter –
firstly no-one’s judging you,
and secondly Giles, the owner of The Earl of March, will also be offering
booze absorbing meat/bread/nibbly platters from 5pm onwards
to stop your back teeth from drowning on the way home.
Giles has blocked out most of the restaurant
with some great alcohol absorbing meal-deals available
so please do let us know if you will be joining us for dinner afterwards.
See you on Saturday-dress as you think the occasion suggests itself…
